I just love getting messages from my fur friends. They are always so heartfelt. About a month ago I got a message from Stash, the youngest cat in the house who is turning 7 this year. "I love you very much. As much as I want to be outside I could never be apart from you. I will be by your side for many years to come." I love that guy <3 This is for those of you not familiar with Stash's story and how he came to me. One day I was standing in my back yard and all of a sudden a cat came out from under a shed in my yard and following behind her were 4 of the cutest kittens I had ever seen! This mother cat was a feral that was born in the yard behind me. She used to play under the bushes in my back yard when she was a kitten. She was white except for a sideways black heart on her side. Sadly, as soon as she saw me she moved her babies 2 doors away. One night as I lay in bed I could hear a cat meowing outside, loudly. I even got up about 1:30 a.m. to see if I could find it. I could not and the meowing stopped. The next morning I was very sick and ended up staying home from work. I could hear this cat on and off, so, in my jammies, housecoat and extreme bed head, went out to find this cat no matter what. I ended up in the neighbor's yard and peering down into their dirt basement. The outside door was propped open. There in the darkness was this little kitten hiding in a corner. The only reason I even saw him was because he would look up and I saw the white on his face. Here was this little black and white kitten meowing his heart out hoping someone would hear him. The neighbor wasn't home at the time but as soon as he was I went knocking on his door and he went down and retrieved the kitten. That was when I found out that the reason the door was propped open was because he had 2 feet of water in the basement the day
