I had a very upsetting afternoon Saturday. I had made a trip into town for milk and on the way home decided to grab my camera to take some pictures of the smoke we are experiencing from the forest fires occurring in British Columbia and Washington.
After I took the pictures I was on the way home and saw something strange happen ahead of me. Something came flying out of the ditch and hit the rear wheel of a full size truck heading in the opposite direction. The truck did not stop and I thought maybe I didn’t see right however once I got closer I realized I saw all too well what I had just witnessed. It was a beautiful adult coyote. I pulled over and wanted to call ‘someone’ to see if they’d come and help the coyote end it’s suffering. I didn’t have any numbers and was extremely distraught, in tears, apologizing over and over that I wasn’t able to help him. I kept hearing in my mind “it’s okay”. I was finally able to continue on my way home and immediately called a fellow animal communicator. It was during this phone call that ‘suicide’ was being repeated over and over in my mind. As we continued to talk she said that for whatever reason I had to witness this. What popped in my mind right then was that I had to witness this so that his life mattered. Tonight I was again recounting what occurred and got upset once again and this is what came through - “Please do not fret over my death. I picked you to bear witness to my life so that others would know it mattered. I knew you would understand and pass on my message to others. They need to understand”. I was able to connect to the coyote the next day and here is how the conversation went: Me: Hello Coyote are you here? Coyote: I am indeed. Me: I am glad you are here to chat with me. Are you a boy or a girl? Coyote: I am a male. Me: Okay so I will refer to you as Mr. Coyote. Coyote: I would appreciate that. Me: I want to say that I am still very sad about your passing. Coyote: Never fear, it was as I wanted it. I am so long of the Earth that I no longer wished to be a part of it. I was not ill or sick and felt that my time was now to leave the Earth. I took it upon myself to end it now. I will be back again. Me: So why did I have to witness your chosen death? Coyote: We wanted you to see so that you could pass on a message from us. Me: Who is us? Coyote: The collective coyote. Me: Alright. What is your message? Coyote: We wish you to pass onto the masses that we lives matter and that we are here to say that all is not well on the Earth. We see countless many depart too soon. Man is taking over our homes and fields. We soon will have no where to go. We wish to live in harmony with man however man is making it hard to accomplish. We realize that humans do not care for us and wish to eliminate us from the planet but that is not the plan. Man must learn to live in symbiotic harmony with all animals not just us. Me: I’m sure the reason man doesn’t care for you is because you sometimes attack us or our animals that live with us. Coyote: We do that to free them from the bonds of humans. Me: Do they want to be freed though? Coyote: Hmm something we did not consider. We think that all animals would like to be free like us and we have taken it upon ourselves to do so. We did not consider that some animals would choose to live with humans. That is an interesting concept that we will take into consideration. Many times we are chosen to remove such lives with a contract that was made in another time. We honor those as we have agreed upon to do so. Many times we are just hungry but this has been a plentiful year. We are doing well and thriving. Me: I am happy to hear you are thriving and I appreciate the thoughtful consideration towards our animals that live with us. Many humans do not see you so considerate. Coyote: Some of us have taken it upon themselves to right wrongs and they are causing considerable damage to our name. They see themselves as ones to extract revenge upon humans for taking our land away. They do no see living in harmony with man, just as man does not see it with us. Those ones will be driven from the land with sickness and illness. Their kind will not survive the hatred they feel inside. It will drive them mad. The collective wishes to live in harmony with man but we do not see that happening. We need to pass on the message that all can live in harmony if only man would stop controlling everything, instead start living with intention and sending love to the Universe. Me: On behalf of those humans who care, I apologize for the treatment you have had to endure on our behalf. Coyote: You are a special one. We can see your glow from here. There are a few of you around the globe that we have chosen to speak on our behalf. We see that we have chosen well. We have heard of and can see now, your love for all of us. For that we return the love twofold. You have a beautiful heart inside and out and we want you to know that we love and appreciate you for speaking on our behalf. Please do not fret when you witness our death. Rejoice in knowing that we are free once again. Earth has become so heavy that it is difficult for us to maintain our energy. We see much change coming and many are choosing to leave now. We have much to say. We want to maintain our lives but it appears that we do not matter to the general humans. We see that we matter to you and would like you to let others know that we mean no harm, we just want to live. We do not want to interfere with humans in any way however it seems that we must in order to get your attention. Our populations are dwindling and we see that. Our lives will be snuffed out in an instant if we do not speak now. If our messages saves just one of us that is what we can hope for. Me: Many humans see wildlife such as you and appreciate your beauty but do not like that you have to kill to survive, yet we do it ourselves. Do you want to say anything about that? Coyote: Yes we do kill others to survive. It is the way of the land. If we did not the Earth would be run over with those little rodents we like to catch. Man thinks that no animals can be killed yet don’t understand that if nothing got killed the Earth wouldn’t survive that either. There would be too many lives and not enough food. We would die anyways. This way, it is managed each year. The more food, the more of us. The less food, the less of us. Nature has it figured out. It is only man that thinks he is better at it. Man will eliminate all of us and then wonder why they haven’t see us or why they are getting overrun with the critters. We wish to convey that we are here to witness life on Earth and to teach others to respect and love us. Many of us come to Earth specifically to be food for others. We know and understand that. Man is the only one that doesn’t, yet he is part of the chain of life as well. There are those that are fighting to stop killing but they do not see that not all can be saved nor want to be saved. We have our own path to follow yet man interferes and see this as a good thing without understanding that he is interfering with a soul path. Just because it happens does not mean it was meant to be. We must return to complete the tasks that were set out when we came. Me: Thank you so much Mr Coyote I sure appreciate you talking with me. Coyote: It was our pleasure. You need never fear us. We watch out for you. Me: Thank you for that. It comes with much gratitude and love. Do you have anything else you’d like to pass on? Coyote: We do not. We are just happy to have been able to pass on our message to you so that you can let others know. Me: I will certainly do that for you. Thank you for talking with me.

![]() Many of you wonder if I can connect to wild animals. Yes! I can and sometimes they will start the connection. This is a story about a porcupine conversation that was inadvertently started because I was wanting to take a photograph. As I was driving into town, I took the exit off the highway. It is between some hills and goes under the High Level Bridge. There are several small trees in the ditch along the road. I noticed a porcupine in one of the trees. He was perched perfectly where I could get a beautiful picture. However, I did not have my camera at the time. I was excited at having seen him and was lamenting over not having my camera. I said to myself that their faces are so cute and adorable. I suddenly heard, “We’ve never heard a human say such things about us before.” I replied back that I really felt that way and that I think they are cute and adorable. The porcupine went on to explain that they really didn’t want to harm anyone however they needed to protect themselves. He continued on saying that I must be the human from down below (the riverbottom park) because they had heard about the human that glowed. (Another story from a connection with a pheasant). I said, “Yes, it’s most likely me”. The porcupine then said, “In that case we won’t harm you if you want to come closer”. I went on to continue my duties in town and returned home about 1 ½ hrs later. I left my packages at home and grabbed my camera with the intention of heading back to the exit area. I was praying and hoping that the porcupine was still there. He was! However he had moved onto another tree and wasn’t so easily seen. I parked the truck and walked across the road, standing on the shoulder. There was too much snow in the ditch for me to walk up directly to the tree however I wasn’t that far away from it. The porcupine looked directly at me as I was taking pictures of him. When I was done, I thanked him for allowing me to approach him and take his photograph. I have had other encounters similar since this connection. Actually stood directly under the tree a porcupine was in and he just observed me as I was observing him. They truly are peaceful creatures and have no desire to harm. Just wanted to let everyone know that these Pet Information Sheets will be available for free at select pet stores in Lethbridge soon. If you would like one and do not live in the Lethbridge area please contact me. I will announce when they are available. There is also information for veterinary care on the reverse side. ![]() Part 5 - And Sometimes (gasp) It's the Human! Yes, sometimes, we humans are our own worst enemy and we consciously or unconsciously create our own difficulties. If we are not willing to take the information we are given and make adjustments in our own behaviour, the animal will continue to do whatever it is that is bothering the human.
There are many situations where a small adjustment can be made like a litter box moved, that will make the biggest difference. Many times it is our own life lesson that we set out to learn and we're not willing to let go. And many times the human feels the need for control. Which ultimately makes the situation worse. Part 4 - Not Willing to Let Go Many times the animal just isn't willing to let go of the behaviour. That's not necessarily a bad thing. How do you feel when someone tells you that something you do has to be changed. It doesn't feel good. Many times the behaviour is part of something else that is going on and without some further investigation, it will continue to be a mystery, Sometimes there may need to be more than one consultation to discover what is really going on. We humans don't have our issues resolved in just one counseling session so why would we expect it for animals?
Part 3 - Not the Right Fit Many times, the human isn’t the best fit for the animal. I worked with an animal that had specific requirements for a home. Those requirements were not met and the animal engineered a new home for themselves. The animal loved the female human in the family, however, the male, the woman’s husband, was not someone the dog liked and would exhibit undesirable behaviour every time he was around. Once the animal realized the male wasn't going to be leaving she requested to be re-homed. In this case, animal communication did help in a different way. It gave the human the information about what the animal wanted to be able to put the animals wants into play.
Part 2 - Life Lessons Sometimes the animal is not willing to let go of whatever issue the human perceives is an issue. If the animal is not willing to let it go there is no way anyone is going to dissuade him or her from being what it is they have chosen to do. This is because the animal has to live out what they set out to learn in this lifetime. Involvement from anyone would change the course of that lesson.
Every soul has life lessons that they have set out to learn. Many lifetimes can be spent on a life lesson that the soul have chosen. Sometimes it is difficult to learn especially if the willingness to move forward to blocked. Many animals are like humans and can find it a difficult task to learn and heal. It is can seem momentous to the individual soul and will depend on the circumstances. We have found that in times of need many will perish instead of learning. They become so trapped that they let fear take over. They will return many times to learn this one thing. Next: Not the Right Fit Part 1 - Not An Issue Unfortunately the answer is no. I will be covering several reasons in several posts. There are many factors involved and sometimes very complex that we humans, including the animal communicator, aren’t always privy to everything that is involved until much later.
One reason may be that the animal does not see the issue as a problem and is not willing to change to suit the human. Animals are not here to serve us or be controlled by us. They have their own mind and reasons. It could be that the behaviour is something that is instinct and in that case, won’t be repressed. It is natural and nothing the animal wants or needs to change. It is then up to the humans to accept the behaviour and live with it or learn to work around it. Next: Life Lessons Antifreeze: The Sweet Toxic Killer Antifreeze has a sweet taste that animals love, but it is highly toxic. Just one tablespoon is enough to kill a cat or small dog. By taking simple preventative measures you can keep animals including pets, farm animals and wildlife safe.

The holidays can be a very hectic time of year, so it's even more important to pay special attention to your pet. Here are a few tips to help keep your pets safe and happy throughout the holiday season. Christmas Plants Keep Christmas plants out of your pet’s reach. Many plants including poinsettias, mistletoe berries, holly and amaryllis can cause your pet to become ill. Visit the following link for information on Christmas plants toxic to your pets. Decorations Be aware of decorations that could be dangerous to your animal. Watch out for hooks on tree ornaments, tinsel or ribbon that is easily swallowed, and glass decorations that are prone to breaking. Lights Be careful with electrical wires; unplug your lights when you’re not around to supervise your pet. Before plugging wires back in, check them to make sure your pet has not chewed them. Christmas Trees Secure your tree to the wall or ceiling with hooks and sturdy fishing line to prevent your tree from being toppled by climbing cats and curious dogs. Real Trees Cover the water at the base of the tree. Pine sap mixed with water can cause diarrhea, mouth sores, vomiting and loss of appetite. Additionally, pine needles can get lodged in an animal’s throat which can cause difficulty swallowing or choking. Safe Place Visitors can make pets feel anxious. Be sure your pets have a quiet place to escape the bustle of holiday guests. Identification Be sure your pets have proper identification. The increased number of guests visiting your home provides more opportunities for your pet to slip outside unaccompanied. The following link will provide you with information on pet identification methods Table Scraps & People Food There are a number of foods that we enjoy, but can be fatal to pets. Stick to your pet’s normal food and treats, and be sure to ask your guests not to feed your pets. Presents Be aware of what you're putting under your tree. Keep gifts out of your pet's reach unless you know it's pet safe. A box of chocolates ingested by your curious animal can be life threatening. Wrapping Paper & Ribbons After presents are unwrapped, be sure to promptly dispose, recycle or store away paper and ribbons as they make for dangerous toys for your animal. |
